Simonson comes to GLS with more than 20 years of experience in the printing, packaging and paper industries. As director of quality systems, he will lead GLS' strategic quality objectives and oversee the company's ISO 9001:2000 initiatives.

Prior to joining GLS, Simonson was quality manager for MarcomNordic, where he was responsible for establishing and building that company’s quality, safety and regulatory programs from the ground up. During his tenure there, Simonson developed several programs to help the company meet federal, state and local laws, successfully completing an OSHA regulatory compliance audit in 2006.

As a certified Green Belt in Six Sigma, Simonson will carry forward the demanding tenets of this initiative, enabling GLS to further heighten the level of quality and service it delivers to its clients on an ongoing basis. Simonson holds a bachelor's degree in business management from Bethel University, St. Paul. He lives in New Brighton, Minn., with his wife, Kathi. He has two daughters.
