GLS Kicks-Off Client Seminar Series
MINNEAPOLIS – March 30, 2006 – On Thursday, March 30, GLS welcomed customers into their new Learning Center for the first seminar of the year, Out-of-the-Hat Mailing Tips and Tricks.

GLS’ Mailing Operations Manager, Steve Lasher, lead this insightful mailing program. During the course, attendees were presented with a number of concepts on mailing rates and dimensions, plus tips for developing a successful mailing campaign.
Some of the topics presented:
- Postage Savings through Proper Mail Processing Categories
- Creative Postal Indicia
- Laser Printing and Inkjet Trends
- Marketing with Repositionable Notes
The second half of the seminar, the Ins-and-Outs of Personalization, focused on data processing and mailing lists. Topics included: data integrity, address block positioning and rules, file clean-up, merge/duplicate elimination and, lastly, the do’s and don’ts of form creation.
“The information presented in this seminar was excellent. It provided more than just the basics of designing a successful campaign,” said Kristi Peterson, marketing communications manager for Lifecore Biomedical. “The tools that were provided as part of the seminar are invaluable to my communications team.”
