Securian and Peloquin Design for the 2003 Leaders
Conference Campaign
In actuality, all roads are leading to Rome for
Securian, the first recipient of the President's Choice award. Securian
and designer Steve Peloquin were chosen for outstanding concept and
design on the introductory booklet and direct mail pieces for the
company's 2003 Leaders Conference in Rome.
The introductory booklet, with a deep burgundy velvet
cover, introduced the conference theme, location and destination
details to Securian representative, agents and other who compete
to qualify for the trip. The direct mail pieces "teased" these audiences
to watch for more details about the conference.
Peloquin built the theme around Rome's strong historical
culture in art and architecture, using picture frames as a key element
in the design—framing various photos and graphics to make them
look like artistic masterpieces of their own.
"What impressed us most about the Securian materials
was the attention to detail in both design and copy," said Gary Garner,
GLS President. "It was evident to us that both Peloquin and Securian
put a lot of time into researching this destination to make it come
to life for conference participants. The pieces are truly motivating.
