Mike Farr - VP, Manufacturing
Mike Farr spent years learning the printing business from the ground up…working in all areas from the pressroom through billing, purchasing, estimating, job planning, production scheduling and plant/operations management. After 34 years in the industry, including 5 years at GLS, he has certainly earned his stripes as Vice President of Manufacturing.

Prior to arriving at GLS, Mike served for 2 years as VP and General Manager for an Eden-Prairie based printer, after 27 years as Vice President for The Bureau, Inc. in Minneapolis.

For Mike, life at GLS is an exciting challenge. “It’s fun to keep ahead of new technologies,” he says. “One of the challenges I enjoy most at GLS is the continual opportunity to achieve total quality management. We are constantly becoming better, faster, cost-effective and more flexible in our business relationships.”

When he’s not working, Mike enjoys waterfowl hunting, decoy collecting, fishing and spending time with his wife and teenage son. The family pets include a dog, two cats and five fish.
